I specialize in working with clients who struggle with various sexual issues related to emotional dysregulation, anxiety, trauma, relational distress and maladaptive coping skills.  A bit of background on me: I spent three years training in rehabilitation clinics treating clients suffering from addiction.  At Psychotherapy Works, I treat individuals and couples with various types of sexual issues including sexual dysfunctions, sexual addictions as well as couples’ sex therapy.  I obtained my bachelor’s degree in Psychology at California State University, Northridge (CSUN) and continued on to earn my Masters in Counseling with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy also at CSUN.  I have specialized training in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), an evidence based couple’s treatment.
I wrote my my master’s thesis on how emotionally focused therapy helps couples learn how to develop secure attachment with each other.
